COMPANY HISTORY

1979 - Aalto Bio Reagents commenced operations to meet the growing biological raw material needs of the in-vitro diagnostics industry.

1981 - Aalto Bio Reagents became exclusive distributors for the full range of products offered by CLINIQA Corporation.

1993 - We participated for the first time at MEDICA.

1996 - As an essential part of the development plan for the company we applied and were accepted on our first attempt for registration to the ISO 9002 : 1994 quality standard.

1998 - To accomodate our ever expanding business we moved to large new premises at Rathfarnham Village, in Dublin's suburbs.

2001 - Aalto Bio Reagents became one of the first companies in Ireland to be accepted for registration to the new updated ISO 9001 : 2000 quality standard.

2006 - Aalto Bio Reagents now employs 10 people including the three working Directors Drs Peter and Aidan O'Boyle and Marie O'Boyle.

Dr Peter O'Boyle has a Ph.D in Chemistry from University College Dublin (UCD) and worked initially as a research chemist in the pharmaceutical industry followed by five years as a market researcher in the fine chemicals and in-vitro diagnostics areas.

Dr Aidan O'Boyle has a Ph.D in Biochemistry from UCD and following a period in the Departments of Pharmacology and Surgery in UCD he spent 10 years in France and Belgium in a marketing capacity.

                                                                  Aidan and Peter O'Boyle Marie O'Boyle, who manages our Shipping and Exports Department, has a degree in Biochemistry from UCD and an extensive background in the in-vitro diagnostics field.
